Package: sbuild Version: 0.91.10 Severity: minor X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected]
The sbuild man page mentions a default chroot-mode in a few places: * In the description of the --chroot-mode argument: "Select the desired chroot mode. Four values are possible: schroot (the default)", [...] * In the CHROOT MODES section's introductory paragraph: "The default backend (or chroot mode) is schroot which is an suid binary that allows regular users to enter a chroot environment." * In the CHROOT MODES section's description of unshare: "The default and recommended chroot mode." Given the other context available, I believe that unshare is indeed the default, and the other instances should be changed to match. -Ben -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers oldstable-security APT policy: (500, 'oldstable-security'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.19.14+deb14-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_CPU_OUT_OF_SPEC, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages sbuild depends on: ii iproute2 7.1.0-1 ii libsbuild-perl 0.91.10 ii mount 2.42.2-1 ii passwd 1:4.19.3-2 ii perl 5.40.1-8 ii sbuild-schroot 0.91.10 ii uidmap 1:4.19.3-2 Versions of packages sbuild recommends: ii apt-utils 3.3.1 ii dpkg-dev 1.23.7 ii mmdebstrap 1.5.7-3 ii sbuild-schroot 0.91.10 Versions of packages sbuild suggests: ii autopkgtest 5.55 pn piuparts <none> -- no debconf information
