Thank you for your prompt response which proves my assumption you might be missing in action wrong. That's why I revert the QA upload to delayed and I'm happy I used the delayed queue. Please inspect this commit https://salsa.debian.org/debian/laptop-detect/-/commit/d0233563565e01031c37d5985a9aa49b1215c19f which refers to Debian Commons maintenance https://wiki.debian.org/DebianCommons I think this implements what you wrote below. Please let me know if you want me to upload this. Kind regards and thank you for maintaining laptop-detect Andreas. > On August 4, 2026 7:28:23 AM GMT+02:00, Andreas Tille <[email protected]> > wrote: > >Package: wnpp > >Severity: normal > >X-Debbugs-Cc: [email protected], Simó Albert i Beltran > ><[email protected]>, [email protected], Package Salvaging Team > ><[email protected]> > >Control: affects -1 + src:laptop-detect > > > >I have prepared a QA upload of laptop-detect to DELAYED/15 to orphan the > >package. > > > >This follows the guidance recently posted by the MIA team on > >debian-project regarding packages maintained by Debian Contributors who > >were active only for a relatively short period and have shown no Debian > >activity for many years: > > > > https://lists.debian.org/debian-project/2026/07/msg00030.html > > > >The maintainer (CCed) was active only during 2017 and, as far as I can > >tell, has had no Debian activity since then.
