Dear Beagle maintainer,

I have found a way to tell beagle how to open folders with thunar
instead of nautilus - by using Nautilus to change the application with
which folders are opened. (right click on a folder in Nautilus,
properties, go to the "open with" tab, add Thunar as an application
and select it as the default).

Presumably this will also work to configure which application to use
for other file types. I guess this means the bug is no longer a
"bug", as this is likely the intended behaviour. I do find it
somewhat illogical that users not running the gnome desktop need to
open a nautilus window to change the behaviour of Beagle-search. It
may be good to document this somewhere.

Kind regards,
     Hein Zelle
