Package: rasdaemon

Severity: normal
[ 13.417651] msr: Write to unrecognized MSR 0x17f by rasdaemon (pid: 1056),
tainting CPU_OUT_OF_SPEC.
[ 13.417656] msr: See
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip.git/about for details.
I see the above kernel message logs on this system. It is a HP Z640 with a
E5-2696 v3 CPU. Below is the relevant section of the URL that the kernel
gives. Is this a regression in 7.1.6? I don't know if other kernels had the
same issue as I wasn't tracking it before.
