The golang-github-libvirt-libvirt-go-xml package contains unmaintained upstream code. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-github-libvirt-libvirt-go-xml The upstream project was archived in 2022: https://github.com/libvirt/libvirt-go-xml https://gitlab.com/libvirt/libvirt-go-xml [ARCHIVED] Legacy Go struct binding for libvirt XML schemas, no Go module support. All future development happens in libvirt-go-xml-module which has Go module support and is API compatible with this legacy package. There is one reverse dependency in Debian is 'mgmt' but it already has a FTBFS bug and the B-D dependency is obsolete: the go.mod file already indicate upstream moved to the new package and that package is part of debian/control Build-Depends. Removing golang-github-libvirt-libvirt-go-xml won't make things worse in unstable, but will make things better since we don't have to worry about that obsolete package any more. This removal request is part of a larger batch to remove 100+ unused golang-*-dev packages from Debian. I believe the QA cost associated with keeping all of them is larger than the cost of (hopefully extremely rare) re-introduction of any accidentally removed package if there is ever any future need for it.
