might be what's going on. Upstream pkgconfig updated their docs in https://github.com/pkgconf/pkgconf/pull/353 so I guess, everything whats in required.private nees a dependency in openslide. The question is if openslide should list those in required.private, not sure. they might be needed for static linking, but does openslide ship a static library? -- tobi
