I managed to build a backport of the version in forky by dropping the Build- Depends: libarrow-dev, which is not in trixie(-backports), but is only used on some architectures anyways. I also explicitly switched the boost ones to 1.88, but in hindsight I guess using -dtrixie-backports instead of -dtrixie to sbuild would have switched to the aptitude resolver and made that unnecessary. Since the server side is Proxmox I only tested client stuff: - ceph -s / ceph df etc. - cephfs kernel mount with a backports kernel - writing and reading files on that mount What do you think about providing an official backport?
