It's interesting that you say that since the upstream developer is also the sysprof developer and has done significant performance work on other projects like ptyxis. "Loading" has multiple meanings; which part of the app is slow? By the time you filed this bug, devhelp was already archived upstream and removed from Debian Unstable, so it's not coming back to Debian. Similar to many teams in Debian, the Debian GNOME team is small and doesn't have the extra capacity to work on upstream feature requests. Therefore, we generally close this kind of bug since this team is unable to manage the few thousand open bugs we have.
