I intend to package the darkreader JavaScript library, taking over this RFP. Upstream (github.com/darkreader/darkreader, MIT, current release 4.9.132) ships both a browser extension and the library that other projects embed; I am packaging the latter, as node-darkreader, which is what Zotero's PDF/EPUB reader uses for its dark mode. #1053989 (RFP: webext-dark-reader) covers the extension, so I have unmerged it from this bug: the two have independent futures, and retitling or closing this one should not carry over to it.
