Package: liquidprompt Version: 2.3.0-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
When liquidprompt is enabled, the $i variable is reset at each interactive prompt: [blagandzig:~] $ a=foo [blagandzig:~] $ echo $a foo [blagandzig:~] $ a=bar;echo $a bar [blagandzig:~] $ i=foo [blagandzig:~] $ echo $i [blagandzig:~] $ i=bar;echo $i bar [blagandzig:~] $ (Note the empty line after "echo $i" on its own) It seems many functions in the liquidprompt script use $i (either with "i=…" or "for i in …" constructs) without declaring it local, which results in it being reset. Just adding "local i" in those functions should be enough to fix the problem.
