The package is a plain ES module tree: the published tarball contains the unmodified src/ directory (no build step, no transpilation), so the Debian package can ship the upstream sources as-is. Its single runtime dependency, @fluent/syntax, is already provided by node-fluent-bundle in the archive. . It is a build-time dependency of Zotero: js-build/ftl-to-json.mjs and js-build/localize-ftl.mjs use it to generate the localisation files that go into the application.
