I specifically made the switch to using libasound as sndfile-programs did not work when using OSS (on Linux). > Please, could you exclude linux specific package in Build-Depends > by using "libasound2-dev [!kfreebsd-i386 !kfreebsd-amd64 !hurd-i386]". If you could confirm that #350807 does NOT affect FreeBSD machines, then I can do this. If not, I'll have to disable sndfile-programs on !linux.
