Of course package dependencies have to be > updated, if they are versioned. Because no one else uses this version of the python-rpm interface with python2.4 -- with python2.3 it is known to work. With python2.4 we are doing something different to every other rpm based distribution. If we upgraded to a newer version of rpm, then things are different (again).
