Yes, papers 50 requires rust-geo which itself requires several other rust packages that aren't packaged in Debian yet. It might be possible to temporarily revert the new ink and/or annotations features to enable updating the package, but people are going to wonder why those major features aren't available in Debian's version 50 or 51.
