libsimdutf35 is the systematic package name for libsimdutf.so.35, but
since recently (presumably the recent 9.3.0 update) it contains
libsimdutf.so.37 instead, an incompatible SONAME. This makes
executables/libraries that were compiled against libsimdutf.so.35 fail
to run, in particular any VTE-based terminal emulator:
$ ptyxis
ptyxis: error while loading shared libraries: libsimdutf.so.35: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory
$ dpkg -S libsimdutf.so
libsimdutf35:amd64: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libsimdutf.so.37.0.0

I would recommend rolling back to 9.1.2, versioned as 9.3.0+really9.1.2,
and then preparing a graceful transition to libsimdutf37 (presumably
versioned as something like 9.3.0+really9.3.0) in experimental.
I would also recommend that the packaging should ensure that it will
FTBFS if the library's SONAME changes without the maintainer noticing,
perhaps like this:

+usr/lib/*/libsimdutf.so.35
+usr/lib/*/libsimdutf.so.*.*
That way, the build of 9.3.0 would have failed, and then the uploader
would have the opportunity to think "something is obviously wrong here"
and handle the new upstream release as a transition, with a package
rename, a trip through NEW, and release team coordination.
