Control: tag -1 + patch fixed-upstream Hello,
A short follow-up to my message of 15 October. The fix I proposed is now merged upstream, in the master branch of ecki/net-tools on GitHub (pull request #72, merged on 15 October by Bernd Eckenfels): f1cdcde rose: use the C library's <netrose/rose.h> when available 45bf997 netrom: do not return a pointer to a local buffer in NETROM_sprint() With f1cdcde, net-tools builds with ROSE enabled whether or not linux-libc-dev still ships linux/rose.h. It takes <netrose/rose.h> from glibc when it is there, and falls back to the kernel header otherwise. I tested it with glibc, with and without linux/rose.h, and with musl. Upstream still builds without ROSE by default. The patch attached to my previous message is the same change as f1cdcde, so it can be taken as is, or picked from upstream at the next import. 73, Bernard Pidoux, F6BVP Le jeu. 15 oct. 2026 à 19:30, Bernard Pidoux <[email protected]> a écrit : > > Hello, > > The merge request on Salsa (debian/net-tools !6) fixes this FTBFS by > building net-tools without ROSE.
