I had configured the locale parameter to [EMAIL PROTECTED], but now I will try with
"C"
and see if it works ;)

did you try changing locale configuration option (introduced in -10
available from url you've mentioend) in /etc/fail2ban.conf? explicitely
making it to be "C" for instance?
remove all export things since they should not matter as soon as you
specify locale in the config

Hello,
I'm sorry to bother you but I still got problem with banning with the last version indicated loaded from
itanix.rutgers.edu/rumba/dists/sid/perspect/binary-all/net/fail2ban_0.6.1-10_all.deb
the last night, I had as much as 1364 Authentication Failures from the same ip
and I still find "time data did not match format" errors in
/var/log/fail2ban.log
my locale setting is [EMAIL PROTECTED] for LANG and all LC_ except LC_ALL which
is empty
I've tried to hack /etc/init.d/fail2ban by adding
export LANG=C
and also with export [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and also with export LC_ALL=C
and finally export [EMAIL PROTECTED]
but I always get the same error messages
I hope you will soon find a solution ;)
Keep high the good work !
