Source: timidity Version: 2.14.0-8.4 Severity: important I want to help improve timidity's packaging for Debian. I am beginning the Package Salvaging procedure described in the Developers Reference[1]. timidity seems to meet the criteria for this process, and I'd like to support keeping it maintained in Debian. As the Salvage process suggests, here is a list of the criteria that I believe apply:
- The package has been maintained by NMUs (4 of them) since 2023 I propose that timidity be transferred to the Debian Multimedia team. The package maintainer is already a member of that team. Additionally, there is an RC bug which resulted in timidity's removal from Testing in August. I'm uploading an NMU now to fix that.
