Hi Kai,

please try to reproduce this bug before closing it:
(1) start on a machine with no apache (1 or 2) installed!
(2) install wordpress
(3) dpkg -l | grep apache

The first point is really important, since you won't encounter this bug
when apache2 is already installed when you try to install wordpress. But
with no apache installed, wordpress will install both.

No I don't think there is something wrong with aptitude. Please try to
reproduce this bug, I can reproduce it on all my desktop-boxen where no
apache is installed by default.

Here is a list of all packages aptitude wants to install in order to
fullfill my "aptitude install wordpress"-wish:

apache apache-common apache2-common apache2-mpm-prefork apache2-utils
libapache-mod-php4 libapache2-mod-php5 libdbd-mysql-perl libdbi-perl
libnet-daemon-perl libplrpc-perl libzzip-0-12 mysql-client-5.0
php4-common php4-mysql php5 php5-common ssl-cert

I can't provide an easy solution for this bug (just a way to reproduce),
but I think you have to correct your depends-line a bit.

Best regards,

Bastian

PS: Wordpress *needs* a mysql-server right? Why does it only depend on a
mysql-client and not on the server? I have not yet tested this issue
completely but I think this is a serious bug too.
