Package: meld
Version: 1.1.3-1
Severity: normal

Hello,

it seems that having a locale with different character set than
utf8, meld calls gtk functions with strings in that locale
as parameters. It makes the gui almost unusable if there
are more non-ascii characters.

Please, remember that you have to call gtk functions
always with utf8 arguments regardless of locale, but
use eg. filenames in the locale coding (if you don't
use glib)

Regards
