So the bug is fixed in later versions: there's nothing more we can do, as the stable release of Debian is deeply frozen and we only fix *very* important bugs. Would you have upgraded your whole distribution, this wouldn't have happened, so I think it is not a very important bug since only special configurations are concerned by this bug.
