If I request some non existing URL I get a "502 Bad Gatewawy", ah, just a moment, I have two proxies stacked, my privoxy asks the ISPs netcache machines and the "502 Bad Gateway" is created by the netcache. If I request a non existing URL, which isn't routed to the netcache, I also get a "404 No such domain". According to http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html I think that "502 Bad Gateway" is a more correct error code.
