Can you reproduce this now or does a "reload" of the web page solve
the problem? If the former is true, what does "dig www.dice.com"
answer?
Do you see any unusual message with dice.com in the privoxy log file?

What name servers are you using in /etc/resolv.conf? Would it be
possible that the name server was not reachable (I notice such
problems only when I'm on the veranda and loose the WLAN connection)
or maybe the name server wasn't able to reach the root name servers or
the nameservers of dice.com? What software are you running on the
resolving name server?

This is amazing. If I request some non existing URL I get a "502 Bad
Gatewawy", ah, just a moment, I have two proxies stacked, my privoxy
asks the ISPs netcache machines and the "502 Bad Gateway" is created
by the netcache. If I request a non existing URL, which isn't routed
to the netcache, I also get a "404 No such domain".

According to http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec10.html I
think that "502 Bad Gateway" is a more correct error code.

Ciao
