Package: libjpeg-progs Version: 6b-13 Severity: wishlist I recently filed a bug report against libjpeg62 because I was flipping a picture that wasn't a multiple of the iMCU column width, and I hadn't read the man page, which explains that this is intentional behaviour.
In order to avoid such confusion, perhaps the error given by -perfect could be printed as a warning even when -perfect is not used? The trouble with the current behaviour is that a) it is correct, but b) it is confusing (unless you've read the small print). Adding this warning would avoid future confusion and lost time for users such as myself, and for the maintainers (because of over-hasty users like me blaming the program). -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.16 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libjpeg-progs depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6-15 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libjpeg62 6b-13 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG libjpeg-progs recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
