Package: gnome-power-manager Version: 2.14.3-2 Severity: important -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
hi, If gnome-power-manager is running, and I close the lid of my laptop (even for just a second) and then open it up again, the laptop screen is still off. I can move the mouse over to where I think a terminal window might be, and then type xset dpms force on to re-enable the screen, but this is obviously an absurd solution. (If the screen has been blank for a while, I first need to type my password to make gnome-screensaver go away.) Killing gnome-power-manager does solve the problem, the bug is either in gnome-power-manager or in its interaction with some other component of the system. The laptop is a Dell XPS M1210, with an Intel 945 graphics chipset. Any further needed information, or hints on debugging?
