Hi.
This is definitely not an Spamassassin problem. When dpkg extracts the
package, it tries to install files under /etc/spamassassin.
I will close the bug, since it is not a spamassassin problem. It could be
filed against dpkg for not checking the RW status of the /etc/ but you cannot
pretend to _install_ a package and have /etc RO.
/etc _can_ be RO if the system is static, and should be remounted RW to
install/purge packages.
