The authorblurb element can contain paragraph data, which can include verbatim environments (programlisting, screen, etc.). So it would be wrong to run normalize-space on it. As far as firstname and surname, yeah, perhaps they should be normalized. I'll take a look. If you have others mind, I can look at them case by case. --Mike
