SCREEN_FONT=lat0-sun16


        There might be something else going on.  I booted a couple of other
versions of Linux this week, including Sarge.  Before this started
happening, they all booted normally.  Now the bottom half of the screen goes
black near the end of start-up.  Apparently, something in Etch recently
wrote in the nonvolatile memory of my fixed-frequency video card, and that's
what started this.
