With the current disc-coverI find that it uses the following packages
(already with the respective texlive and tetex packages):
ifthen
texlive-latex-base, tetex-base
graphicx
texlive-latex-base, tetex-base
color
texlive-latex-base, tetex-base
multicol
texlive-latex-base, tetex-base
inputenc
texlive-latex-base, tetex-base
The first four are from $latex_global_packages, the last one the default
of $latex_user_packages.
So the minimal dependencies would be:
tetex-bin | texlive-base-bin
tetex-base | texlive-latex-base,
