Package: zope-mysqlda Version: 2.0.8-2 Severity: normal
This "bug" is also reported for zope-zwike and several other zope packages. See http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=292213 I want to use zope-mysqlda with zope2.7. zope-mysqlda depends on zope. zope2.7 provides zope, so all should be fine. But since zope-mysqlda depends on a minimum version of zope (2.6.2) this doesn't work. It keeps wanting to install zope though zope2.7 is already installed. The workaround is to change the Depends line in control to: Depends: python2.2 (>= 2.2.3), zope (>= 2.6.2) | zope2.7, python2.2-mysqldb I did this (my first hack in a Debian package :)) and it worked. The connection in Zope to my database now functions again. The dependencies mentions below may be those of my slightly-hacked package. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.8-2-k7 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) Versions of packages zope-mysqlda depends on: ii python2.2 2.2.3dfsg-1 An interactive high-level object-o ii python2.2-mysqldb 1.1.6-1 A Python interface to MySQL ii zope2.7 [zope] 2.7.4-0-0 Open Source Web Application Server -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
