Note that the fix I mentioned obviously is only fixing the FTBFS problem, not the problem in bug #278151.
The bug in #278151 is hard to fix while relying on debhelper. You either have to only create the bootcd-$(ARCH) package on the arch itself or find a way around debhelper, so that you can set the proper Architecture for the package even when you don't build on that arch.


In other words: The fix provided for bug #278151 actually is only a partial fix. bootcd-hppa for example is still available on the i386 platform, but it is not installable. And I suspect the same holds true for any other bootcd-$(ARCH) package with $(ARCH) != i386.
