Package: dictd Version: 1.10.2-3 Severity: wishlist Question (not seen in any FAQs): on my standalone laptop, I only make a dict query once a week. Can I somehow not run the server all day, in exchange for some delay upon query, in order to save on memory as seen with top(1)? pydict works fine that way for Chinese.
Is the only way /etc/init.d/dictd start dict bla /etc/init.d/dictd stop? Maybe README.inetd.gz is similar, but apparently it won't stop the deamon after the query. Anyway the docs should say what to do. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
