Just tested on my i386 workstation and on my ibook.  Both have working
DRI.  The i386 works very well (though the proprietary nvidia driver);
on my ibook I get nearly the same window (but it tells me to thell the
developers, if I think it's wrong).

Summary:  Yes, I can reproduce this bug.

I think the main issue here is the fact that the Boson developers
poorly worded the message. I *think* they are testing if 3D is
hardware accelerated and if they detect is not, they just say DRI is
not present.

So what I am saying, is that I think the problem is a wording issue, in fact.
