This is true, but for a rather arcane reason only: smart-notifier depends on python2.4-dbus, which only exists now in the archive as a virtual package provided by python-dbus, which depends on python (>= 2.4), thus ensuring that for any user upgrading from sarge, python 2.4 will be installed and configured before smart-notifier is. Without this coincidental check, this would still be an RC bug; and technically it still is for the moment in testing, because python-dbus isn't there yet.
