Package: debian-installer Version: 20060910 snapshot d-i etch (b3) Severity: important
I tested the daily build of the debian installer b3 for etch and tried to install it in a IBM eServer xSeries 306m The installer finishes nicely, but after reboot, the network stays down. A messages appear for all the interfaces: rename_net: error changing net interface name lo_temp Upgrading to the udev of sid fixes the problem. There are other problems with udev on IBM eServer xSeries 336 (ultimately causing a BUG in CPU#0 (soft lockup)); but still investigating this. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (700, 'experimental'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17 Locale: LANG=en_GB, LC_CTYPE=en_GB (charmap=ISO-8859-1) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
