Because libmysqlclient does not include versioned symbols, it is not possible for multiple versions of this library to be loaded by a process without causing segfaults. Since gda-mysql will be loaded by GNOME processes that may also have loaded myodbc (and therefore libmysqlclient12), this is therefore a grave bug in gda-mysql.
