Hello, apt-file (and packages.d.o) will not help you, as Contents* only lists files but not directories. I have used dpkg on merkel's mirror to check for packages shipping /var/run or a subdirectory of /var/run in the deb. In sarge/main/i386+all there are 156 packages shipping /var/run and a subset of 138 packages ships a subdirectory of /var/run. The lists are on merkel:~ametzler/sargewithrun* cu andreas -- The 'Galactic Cleaning' policy undertaken by Emperor Zhark is a personal vision of the emperor's, and its inclusion in this work does not constitute tacit approval by the author or the publisher for any such projects, howsoever undertaken.
