Package: opencv Version: 0.9.7-3 There are aliasing bugs in the OpenCV package in Ubuntu that manifest when compiling with gcc 4. I suspect they might also be present in Debian.

Please also note in particular that OpenCV does not honor CFLAGS but does honor CXXFLAGS and that it overwrites any -Ox directives with its own -O3.
