unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this bug. I've just installed emacs-snapshot-gtk on my up-to-date sid box and started it several times without a crash. Looking at the backtrace you provided, I'm not entirely sure if this is really a bug in gtk-qt-engine, since the crash seems to happen somewhere in libc or libfontconfig.
