Package: runit Version: 1.0.5-1 Followup-For: Bug #234106
Hello. I tried to install the package within a freshly-built "vserver": i.e. there was not already any other application that could have add an SV entry, but I got: ----- Adding SV inittab entry... /var/lib/dpkg/info/runit.postinst: line 30: kill: (1) - No such process dpkg: error processing runit (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 Errors were encountered while processing: runit E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Ack! Something bad happened while installing packages. Trying to recover: Setting up runit (1.0.5-1) ... There already is an SV entry in /etc/inittab. In order to have this package add an entry with the name SV to have runit's service supervision started by sysvinit, you need to remove or rename the current SV entry first. Installation failed. ----- I removed (purged) the package, checked that the entry wasn't there, reinstalled: Same thing, afterwards, the entry is there but indeed it is the same configuration procedure that put it there that complains about it being there! -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (1002, 'testing'), (99, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.11-vs1.9.5-rc1+g1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
