Hi Alan,

a) What version of the ogle package are you using (and is it -mmx?)?

ogle-mmx 0.9.2-2
ogle-gui 0.9.2-2

b) Does ogle without ogle-gui installed at all do this still?

I removed the ogle-gui package and ran ogle from the command line. The program crashed with the same error:

> ogle

After that I restared X with resolution 1024x724 instead of 1280x1024 and the DVD began playing, no errors.

c) What graphics card are you using? How much video memory does it have,
and which driver handles it for X?

The PC is an Acer Aspire laptop, with an Intel 855GME graphics chipset which I configured in BIOS to use 32MB of the main memory (256MB). Swap file is 300MB.

X driver is I810: Driver for Intel Integrated Graphics Chipsets: i810, i810-dc100, i810e, i815, i830M, 845G, 852GM/855GM, 865G

d) What does the command xvinfo print?

Under Windows I have no problems watching DVDs at screen resolution 1280x1024, so hardware resources and memory in particular should be enough for this task.

I didn't try the latest version in testing because that would require the change of quite many packages.

Thanks a lot,

Vladimir
