What is the solution to fix it, then? Why didn't you document it here? Then, it's not trivial to work around for people who don't know FAI for years, as you do. Please tr to imagine. And a program hanging with an error is very bad usability, and a bad user experience - people don't know if they have to wait for some longer time, or just hit ctrl-c.
