Package: base-files Version: 3.1.16 Severity: normal
Since the last upgrade of base-files I've been having trouble with name resolving. After a while I figured it out: when removing the mDNS entries in /etc/nsswitch.conf, everything works perfectly. The other option is installing libnss-mdns. This is in sharp contrast to what bug #324954 says. To fix this, this package should depend on libnss-mdns, or the entry should be removed from nsswitch.conf. I can easily reproduce this in my Debian SID chroot.
