Package: fwlogwatch Version: 1.1-1 Severity: normal I much prefer to run fwlogwatch on a logfile that has already been rotated (actually it once segfaulted on me when run on an active logfile, but it also seems common sense). Unfortunately, the scripts in /etc/cron.daily are run in alphabetical order, and "fwlogwatch" sorts before "logrotate" and "sysklogd". So if I run fwlogwatch on, e.g. /var/log/kern.log.0 (assuming I have arranged that file to be rotated daily), I get data that is at least a day old. It would be better if the cronjob could run after the rotating ones (although renaming the script may clash with policy, sigh).
I guess in general an ordering/dependency scheme is needed for cronjobs, similar to he one for initscripts. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-9custom1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
