Remove it from the modprobe configuration. unrem the install action in 

  /etc/modutils/zaptel

and re-run update-modules for kernel 2.4 , and something similar for
kernel 2.6 .

But from what I've heard, running ztcfg should only wake sleeping
daemons with zaphfc.

Why zaptel from CVS? I'm not sure if this combination is healthy. 

Also, in later versions the Debian packages apply the bristuff patches
which also rely on zaptel/libtonezone to be slightly different, I
figure.
