This has most likely something to do with the metacity theme support change from 2.14 -> 2.16. What you could try is install libmetacity-dev from experimental and "apt-get source compiz". Then remove the 012_metacity-theme-support.patch line from compiz-0.2.0/debian/patches/series and rebuild using debuild or dpkg-buildpackage (you may need to run apt-get build-dep compiz first). That should fix things for experimental metacity. HTH. - Thierry
