Hi, I seem to be having the same problem, using the etch beta 3 (20060810) netinst image.
What I see is the upper few lines of the logo appear almost normal, the lower few also appear normal. The "Debian GNU/Linux" part is perfectly readable. But all the rest between them seems to be garbage. The text with pressing enter/F1 also shows up properly, and I have no other problems with the screen. I've tested this on an Asus P5WD2 Premium with a nVidia GeForce 7600 GS. If I try other bootable CDs created with syslinux, I see about the same behaviour, only part of the image looks normal.
