Package: subversion Version: 1.3.2-5+b1 Severity: minor README.Debian has instructions on obtaining and installing vc-svn.el which could be simplified a little with two small changes:
First, change the last paragraph of README.Debian from Place it in /usr/local/share/emacs/21.4/site-lisp/ or elsewhere in your autoload path. Then ensure that 'SVN appears in the list of the custom variable vc-handled-backends. to Place it in /usr/local/share/emacs/21.4/site-lisp/, then uncomment the contents of /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50vc-svn.el. Secondly, change the path in /etc/emacs/site-start.d/50vc-svn.el to refer to /usr/local rather than /usr.
