reassign 364730 alsa-oss retitle 364730 preload of libaoss.so causes mutt to segfault on large mboxes thanks
Hello, As the previous message from the submitter shows this fault happens when mutt is called with "aoss" preloaded. The problem may be that alsa-oss redefines mmap. Perhaps it should be redefining mmap2. I attempted further diagnosis and found minor incompatabilities between declarations of _poll, _mmap and _fopen in alsa/alsa-oss.c and the corresponding declarations in /usr/include/. Perhaps these are the source of the problem. Unfortunately, I could not pin down the precise function in libaoss.so that causes the segfault. Thanks and regards, Kapil. --
