With the upload of my NMU, latex-hangul-ucs_3.1.1-1.1_i386.changes, the "fiddling around with other packages' conffiles" is disabled. However, I just documented in README.Debian that local admins should do the same what the maintainer scripts did previously - this is not a satisfying solution. Somehow we need a mechanism to merge the information into the map files, maybe just by enabling updmap to treat TTF map lines. The updmap script is in texlive-base-bin or tetex-bin, but since I don't know yet how this merging is going to be accomplished, I'm assigning the clone to tex-common.
