Package: ntp-server Version: 4.2.0a+stable-2 Using kernel 2.6.9-3 on i386, I get the following error in syslog and daemon.log when I run "/etc/init.d/ntp-server start":
ntpd[11736]: Cannot find user `ntp' However, on my Debian Alpha using 2.6.8-2-generic kernel, the ntp-server works fine.
